Mental Monsters are an original concept created to physically represent the experience of someone struggling mentally and emotionally. Wounds and other injuries represent internal pain, making their inner world visible to all. Societal expectations and shame silence some of these monsters, while others want to share their struggles, as seen through unstitched or torn mouths. Each monster is open to interpretation by the viewer. Or maybe they are just macabre art. You decide.
